I loved the orange Xv just puzzled why they didn't paint it completely in the engine bay lol
As mentioned previously, Orange is not the only one lacking the color under the hood. Silver and Khaki are also grey primer although not as noticable due to being closer to the body color. What I don't understand is with other brands if a specific color is more costly, they just add a few $$ to the sticker for that color.

Drove from Southern New Mexico, thru AZ, San Diego, LA, and into San Francisco, and saw only TWO XV's, one Orange........that's it!!! Some newer model Outbacks and a couple of Foresters and Impressas. I can't understand why?? Califas doesn't like Subies? AZ neither?

Amazingly there are at least 3 other orange XV's right here in my area of south central PA that I can verify. There may be more as both dealerships locally don't keep them very long.

When I was in purchasing mine, there were two other couples/families trying to get orange. One couple had come about 190 miles to try and get one with leather. There are three Subaru dealers here in town, but only one had TOP cars. One ready for sale (mine) and two others that arrived earlier in the day. Same dealer has at least 3 more now. Dealer sucked (typical ripoff on trade in), but I love the car.

I would love to post a pic of my new tangerine baby, but I don't have it yet! Hopefully by Monday. The weird thing is, I was supposed to get the white one, but the dealer couldn't find a Limited w/moonroof & nav in the whole state of CA. They sell them as soon as they hit the showroom. But I saw the orange Crosstrek on the 101 today, and it looked really hot! I immediately called my dealer and told him to switch my color to the tangerine. BAM, he found the car in Oakland. Now it's mine, and on the way down to me! I'm so glad I switched to tangerine, it's such a fun color! Stand by for a pic

Thanks, Steeba! I feel really excited, I think it was meant to be to get that color. It should be on the way down the I-5 as we speak...GAWD I hope I get it tomorrow!

Yeah, mine took about a month to get. Not too bad for free!!

OK so I have had my little Orange Crush for one week. I've already taken it off-roading, on High Mountain Road in San Luis Obispo County. Here are some pics...she handled GREAT, even though I had to go into manual transmission a few times. Seriously, this car is amazing! Fantastic off road and on the 101 every day on my way to work. I'm so happy I have this car!
