For the first time since delivery, I’ve had a chance to properly detail Cheeto. Proper hand wash, clay bar, polished, sealant and wax. Pictures don’t do it justice. The orange pops so nicely now.

Products:
Chemical Guys (CG) Glossworks car shampoo
Riccardo Clay Bar with CG Clay Luber
CG V36 polish
CG Jet Seal
CG Butter Wax
CG Silk Shine dressing for a dark but not too shiny look on the trim

I usually save the Silk Shine for the interior, but I decided to try it out for the exterior. It does the job, but VRP is probably a better choice (if you wanted a Chemical Guys recommendation). Silk Shine was all I had, as I ran out of VRP. VRP would probably withstand water a bit better too. Silk Shine will likely wash off during the next rainfall.

Looks great! I've been using Chemical Guys products for a while. Someone opened a franchise store in my area before
Walmart / AutoZone started carrying their products.
I us CG car wash / gloss, clay bar treatment and the CG HydroSlick Ceramic Coating on our Black flaked 2019 CrossTrek Limited. Nothing, not Meguiars Synthetic Polywax or Griots Garage products makes the paint pop like CG products.
Pics are after 2 CG washes with wash&gloss, clay bar treatment with CG washless spray and CG HydroSlick Ceramic Coating applied with a 10" rotation buffer.

Looks great! What did you use to black out the nameplates?
I actually swapped the actual name emblems for the OEM black ones. I’ve never been good with getting Plastidip layers to look even, and when I saw Subaru made black emblems, I just removed the silver ones and installed the black ones instead.

Wow, that is incredible. The paint looks a foot thick! Everyone trying to embarrass me with this kind of work. Damn that is one beautiful, shiny car. I just use a plastic paint scraper to get large objects lifted off, but sometimes it rains and that helps. Maybe I'll drive to where there's some more rain. What color is my car, I forget.

Oh, that's excellent - I didn't know they made them available in black. Now I know what my next purchase is!

EDIT: I see why I missed them before, I had been using the year/make/model selector when searching for OEM parts, and the sites I was on only have them listed as compatible through MY 2018 for some reason. Can't imagine they're any different for 2019/2020, especially since they are just stuck on with double sided adhesive. For those interested, part numbers are 93079FJ220 for the Subaru/AWD badges and 93079FJ230 for the Crosstrek one. It appears the only real difference is that the Crosstrek side comes on a card that is to be used as a template against the corner of the tailgate, and it won't line up perfectly on the later model years, but if you use masking tape to outline the original one, you can use that for positioning instead.

The only thing that makes them “incompatible “ is the stencil they come on is for the previous model. You can still use the emblems, you just have to place them manually. I outlined my old ones with painters tape before removing them so I’d have a guide on where to place the black ones.
