It's a round metallic compound gasket. The bolts are through the flanges on the muffler and exhaust pipe.

apparently they've switched to that at some point, or maybe the 2.5's. Mine was through the bolts

Show me a pic of what you removed from your exhaust-to-muffler connection.

I initially did this back in 2019. and I have UEL headers, mid-pipe, everything at this point. Borla's flange is recessed for the round gasket, but I hadn't seen one actually on the vehicle. Everyone else uses flat flanges. I picked up the round SG gasket, but to find it I had to look at 14-16 Foresters.
