haha.. yes.. it all started with my 2002 wrx (I'll keep that car forever), now we currently have a 2008 legacy spec b, and my wife has a new 3.6R outback. Hope to contribute here, thanks for the warm welcome everyone. one more pic for good measure (this is a picture thread afterall).
The blue Outback and the red Crosstrek look beautiful together! Nice choices!
'16+ XV Venetian Red Pearl Thread
My XV is the European version of the 1.6 with Dual Range reduction.
All pictures are taken in my hunting area in the German state Thuringia. The exact location of the pictures is the so called "Plattenweg" (flagged path) used by the border patrols of the former German Democratic Republic (GDR) at the so called "Todesstreifen" (death strip) between the GDR and the FRG.
Of course all fences with spring guns and all mines are removed since 1990. About 1 kilometer of that former border between these two former German countries belongs to my hunting area. Now it's only a border between the German states Thuringia and Bavaria without any fences or signs except of old landmarks.
The first two letters of my license plate are removed.

The following picture shows the nice Subaru decal a little bit more detailed. That decal was produced and offered by the member Duderotomy two years ago on the Forester forum.

The following picture shows one of the sections of the flagged path with very steep inclines or gradients. The incline you see just in front of the XV has partly 30%. The gradient you see on the other side has up to 25%! For driving such gradients or inclines the Dual Range reduction is more than usefull, it's maybe even a must.

The nex picture shows the iron skidplate of my XV. You also can see one of the plastic side panels, which protect against the tossing of mud and dirt on the upper side of the skidplate between the engine and the skidplate.

The last picture shows the smaller iron skidplate, which protects the rear differential.

Must be Plenty of Game birds along that trail when in season ( I love the Xv for getting me and the Lab) into places where we can park and
hunt the side hills for Chuckar Partridge,and Grouse in the Fall
