Thoughts on Bosch ESI6 brake fluid - DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 compatible

Rockauto shows Bosch ESI6 brake fluid as a fit for 2015 Subaru XV Crosstrek. The can says it meets or exceeds DOT 3, 4, and 5.1 specs. It has a high wet boiling point (365°F, compared with 284°F and 311°F for DOT 3 and 4) and low viscocity (670mm²/s, compared with 1400mm²/s for DOT 3 and 4.)

Is it safe to use this brake fluid on a 2015 Crosstrek? Is drastically lower viscocity a good thing?

I see an excellent thread on brake fluids but it's quite dated. Any thoughts on the Bosch brake fluid?

In theory, a lower viscosity brake fluid will allow brakes (and clutches) to react faster when you press in the pedal. In a crosstrek, will it matter? I doubt it.

As long as it's a compliant type to our car I wouldn't hesitate to use it.

@irv_usc - thanks. I replaced the old brake fluid with the Bosch ESI6. So far, it works well. No noticeable change in braking performance. But then, I don't drive it like a race car.
