It seems, an XV with Dual Range reduction would be a better one for you. :icon_mrgreen:
Or driving with the CVT transmission you should use the X-Mode a bit more often.
With the reduction you normaly can drive very slowly and relaxed through the wilderness without the danger getting stuck. :icon_cool:
I suppose it's the same with X-Mode.
No low range variant in AU.
I haven't tried xmode in offroad situations yet.

Those chrome door handles are funky out of place. Is that factory? Surely subaru didnt do that.

You don't like?? The chrome door handles are standard on the Australian S model (the top of the range), on both the first and second gen XV's. The S model gets the chrome door handles, chrome roof rails, fancy metal sports pedals etc... all the rest of the models just get the plain painted ones.

Its normal. my White Pearl bumper vs metal body. The plastic looks lighter and the metal part looks deeper.
That's funny you mention that because i was scrutinizing my Crystal White Pearl Trek the other day after reading this thread and i couldn't notice a lick of difference in the shade of the paint between the plastic and metal panels. To my eye, at least with my Crosstrek, the paint is a consistent, even tone throughout. I have seen other vehicles, however, that have quite a noticeable difference in color between the bumpers and metal body.

If available, I would look at another at a dealership and compare. I really can't see much difference if any, and agree with the consensus thus far. Plus, you took delivery of it. You could have passed on it. Is it possible that we tend to obsess on our cars, and to others they are cars? Slight variation of color in light and from different angles are normal. I think this happens more across the board with a color such as silver.

Got to check it out on cloudy day, I mean like rain daytime moment. Can't see it when it is super sunny or indoor.

It's not an uncommon thing.....Our plasma green hybrid bumpers are slightly different shade than the body. I only see it when the light is just right...

Wow! I can clearly see the difference in all the photos! I would be upset as well! I am a very detailed person so maybe that is why it was so easy for me to notice. I could not live with that, I have the Tangerine 2015 and I think color matches perfect.

Interesting thread. On my current vehicle there is no difference in color between the sheet metal and the plastic bumpers. I'll have to add that to my list when I take delivery in a month or so.

Is Sunshine Orange metallic or pearl, or is it solid like the previous/new Khaki variants? I'm having difficulty finding information on this, and no one at the dealers I've talked to knows either..

Mine is plain orange. No metallic flakes.
Nice to meet other people that are as colour sensitive as me :)

Excellent! Just how I'd like it.

It's funny you say that though as I think I've dumbfounded a number of salespeople by being particular about the color, or that not having a moonroof is a dealbreaker...do most people really not care that much about what they're spending $20-30,000 on? Anyway, I'll stop there as it has little to do with the topic at hand..but thanks for the information!
