Strut Assembly Recommendations for '18 base model

I've got to replace my front struts on my 18 Crosstrek base model as the assemblies are corroded and making popping noises. Was planning on ordering strut assemblies and bringing them to a shop.

Any recommendations for assemblies? Kind of confused where some websites have parts called assemblies but seem to be strictly the bare strut. Links are welcome!

I do not have any recommendations on strut assemblies, but I will mention that most shops do not like it when a customer brings in their own parts if you were not aware.

I'm familiar, but the shop I'm going to specifically told me that I can bring in the parts.

unfortunately no longer live in a place where I can offroad, so may be a bit overkill for me. Thanks though

Well then what exactly is it you are asking and looking for?? go OEM.

I dont offroad at all. I just wanted what the best ride I could get...that could handle 15 bags of general purpose gravel on a Home Depot run. It does that with ease.

There are two ways to buy struts, complete and ready to install or just the strut with diyers/repair shops removing original coil springs for reuse. Complete assemblies ready to install will cost a bit more and less troublesome compared to saving some money, having tools and reusing the original coils. Even spring compressors are loaner tools from big box auto stores.

Refrain from low cost no name brands unless you're familiar with their quality.
