I am curious on the use case. Where are you going and for how long that you need that big of a cooler? Given its size...what else are you bringing for said trip and where are you putting it all given it takes up the entire rear of cargo space?
Multiple people going out together, where equipment can put on roof racks and in other vehicles?

Ahhhh..tailgating would make much more sense than a multi day Backcountry adventure. Depending on the event and crowd might need another cooler on the roof...lol
I agree the cargo area is a bit small for my taste and my hobbies, but for some, they make do.
It's just a matter of getting the right tool for the job. But sometimes you have to use the tools you only have :giggle:

I'm fine with loading up the cooler and use the back seats for storage. But then again, that's my way of doing it.

The cooler is empty most of the time. It is a great place to put groceries or conceal purchases. It gets loaded up with ice and libations during the holidays. It could have been made for the car due to how well it fits. It doesn’t block any of the view out of the rear window. That’s how I use it. Just a suggestion. Cheers!

Just to add on to what @23PYP6MT started here, I too have the need for a jumbo sized cooler to keep inside my car.

I ended up with a 150qt Igloo Marine. There is about 1/8" clearance on each side. I am able to open the lid just enough to make it work. I made a little PVC kickstand to keep the lid open. The only thing I use this particular cooler for, is to hold and transport whole fish.

Before a trip, I'll go to Costco and get about 100lbs of ice and leave it in the bags. If fishing was successful, I remove the bagged ice, put tuna, dorado and/or yellowtail in and cover with the unbagged ice. So far, largest fish to go in the cooler is a 50lb Bluefin Tuna. 30lb Yellowtail maxed out the length!

I usually wait till next day to process the fish. I use a 1-gallon pitcher to remove the ice and water. I lay a folded over towel on the cargo bed and open hatch to catch any drips of dirty water. Even after owning the car for over a year, it still has a subtle hint of "new car" smell.

Last year we got a Yeti 75. Didnt need/want to fill the entire trunk area, and the weight was going to be an issue.

Going solo camping or myself with our oldest son (still under 5 years old) would be tough getting that thing out of the back of the car. It's over 35lbs empty. Fully loaded with ice/food/drinks would easily be over 100 lbs.

I ended up buying this wheel kit: Amazon.com
And this dog ramp: Amazon.com

Now I can easily roll the cooler in/out of the car myself without assistance.
i use a 35 qt yeti that i sit on the back seat

What about a picture of those fish?

Pff fake. I can see the remainder of Walmart's bar code sticker on it.. 😁

Absolutely impressive - both the fish and the way you served it... white or rosé wine paired with it?
Where did you fish this beast? How heavy was it?

that is one massive fish? how much did it weigh?
This fish was caught about 30nm SW of San Diego and was 20ish +/- pounds.

Yellowtail are probably the most prized gamefish in Southern California. Fun to catch and are super tasty, from raw to cooked.
