I understand there are common things to help max MPG. proper air pressure, windows up, no roof rack, driving style, etc.
What mods have folks done that can be proven to have made a positive impact on MPG? In the past I have had a 330XI with KN CAI and a JK Wrangler with CAI and catback exhaust. While they seem to advertise a gain in MPG I find it is the opposite. Whether it influences driving style, creates easier acceleration which may indirectly affect driving style, not sure.
Tune maybe? but would the tune ultimately require premium fuel and negate potential gains? I drive a lot for work. In addition to a car allowance for a car payment/insurance/maintenance I get a mileage reimbursement each month. Basically if gas is around $2ish flat I am making money on it. Seeing what options I have to maximize that profit.
