What kind of issues you have had with your XV... ? Although the ride quality
is excellent I find my XV's issues quote annoying as it's brand new car... i.e.

- squeaking sets (imagine driving on a silent night and every bump causes
ee-ee, ee-ee, ee-ee sound)

- rattling noise from plastic panels (both front doors, dashboard, speakers,
center cupholders... almost sounding like the plastic parts are not tightly
attached to chassis and are vibrating against metal).

I've only done just over 5,000 km in mine but I do not have any rattles or squeaks. My impreza was the same. Quite as a mouse in a house.

although i don't drive it that often, (only got 2,800 on the odo and i got blaze in june...), never got any squeaks or rattles on her. Echoing Arnolds statement...Thank you MotorImage. =)

The delay in the side mirror folding is the only "defect" that i have experienced so far, but i think that goes for everyone else anyway...

I have about 3600 miles on mine and no rattles that I can tell. The only problem I have is that the car pulls to the right on the freeway. I've tried it on a number of freeways and it pulls under power. When I release the gas, it doesn't seem to pull at all. It's going in to the dealer on friday.

The tires are noisy at highway speeds, the wind noise around the side mirrors is annoying, the sun visors are cheesy and not long enough and don't fit around the oh **** handle properly and finally the side bolsters on the drivers seat need to be narrower. These are all minor issues that I will have solved soon. I do over 30k miles/year so the tires will be dead by next summer. The side mirrors should be a fairly easy molding project to come up with new covers that are more aero and I will probably add turn signal indicators while they're open. The visors will be an easy swap from some other car with better ones, probably a few junkyard visits to get that one solved. The seats I'm not so sure is going to be as easy as these other three but we'll see.

Overall though I absolutely love the car so far. It's easy to drive, generally quiet and squeak free inside, handles quite well for tall and narrow, is plenty nimble in tight traffic, doesn't care about road quality it just rolls right through whatever is in front of it and gets pretty reasonable mpg's.

^This, although I can live with those issues.

One thing I'm going to have my dealer address are the rear door panels...they rattle when I'm listening to music.

I'm not having any squeaks for tire noises, everything is fine so far but I do have an issue. I'm not sure if it's because it's new or what but after sitting overnight in the cold when I try to start it up in the morning it takes at least two tries to get the engine running. It's only happen twice and wasn't doing it right away but I'm hoping there's a way to fix this because it's kinda embarrassing when your car does that especially when it's brand new lol

I have no real issues as such, got a couple of squeaks/ vibration noises only at certain speeds 80 - 100km/h, this will be addressed at the next service 3rd jan 13.
But there is one thing bothering me, I'm not sure if its just me but it appears that the drivers seat (electric) seems to be positioned closer to the centre of the car than the passenger seat is! I feel as thou my backside is sitting on the right hand side of the seat more so than when I'm in the passenger seat. I've measured the distance from the centre console to the seat on both and the drivers is about 1-2cm closer to the centre. I only say this as I'm noticing that the outer raised backside support is showing signs of wear on the leather more than the inside.
I've tried driving with my self centered on the seat and I am a little off centre to the steering wheel, as well as I feel slightly awkward when using the throttle pedal.
Has anyone else noticed this? Or is it just me and my driving position?

Forgot to mention I'm getting this looked at during the service, but don't want to seem like a dill, so thought I'd ask here:)

Not having noticed this, I have measured the positioning of my drivers seat compared with the passenger and mine is the EXACT same distance from both the console and the side door trims. I feel completely centred sitting behind the steering wheel column. So I don't know why yours is different. Maybe it is a Friday car? Lol
My only thought is that maybe your problem is somehow related to the seats being quite narrow with minimal side support. ?

Went to the dealer today. They said its the characteristic of the boxer motor. Big G, out in the states the oil should be readily available. I had a good 7 quarts left over from when I left my last job as a mechanic. And that was just extras sitting in my toolbox. Should be synthetic 0W-20. A very lightweight oil which would explain the loss. Used for better mpg's or rather a higher cost to change oil properly lol
