Height adjustable front centre armrest?

I don't know if anyone else has this problem but I find the front centre armrest a little low. I need an inch or two (could also be said for other body parts ;) ) for my elbow to rest comfortably on it. I've seen other subarus where the centre armrest is height adjustable? Anyone find one that fits on the XV?

Classic, Wingnut! I've never seen a height adjustable armrest before. If you can't find an OEM replacement, you might have to craft a spacer of some kind. How crafty are you? Do I see a mod on the horizon?

I swear I've seen a height adjustable subaru arm rest but can't find it now. Good one Wingnut .. I'm short as it is so I need as much height as I can get. :) Yeah, I've been thinking of a simple diy where I incorporate some kind of folding stand to lift up the arm rest .. I find if I put a gatorade bottle in there it's the perfect height. :)

I was thinking more along the lines of a block of wood or a plastic box you could upholster to match your interior, which you could mate to the door and screw onto the existing console.

Actually looking closer at it I don't think it's plug and play for the XV .. probably meant for for older Subaru models :(
I think I will have to put my brain to work and figure out a diy solution. I'll post if I come up with anything.
