Where did you attach the rear cargo lights to illuminate the trunk like in your pictures?
Is the attachment with the adhesive strips and magnets durable?
I'm also interested in those. However, I would have to order them from Amazon USA, they aren't available from Amazon Germany.

A few pictures of the my interior lights after converting to LED. Much brighter interior lights.

 

Took my mom to the top of this small hill (not the greatest view but was fun to drive up) in my hometown. Sign at the beginning says off road or high clearance vehicles. I think I scared my mom!

 

Took my son on a camping trip in March. We knew it was going to rain almost the whole times but we were prepared. The dirt trail out of the woods was a mess. one of my friends slid trying to get out and another came back to make sure we made it out okay. We made it out fine! I did get some mud on the tires.

 

I wanted to have more light in the back while camping and looking for things. Not sure why Subaru put the light on the side of the cargo area. I debated doing @Bluefoton 's mod for the back. Even bought the lights and wire to do it. I went to searching on amazon for lights and found these little battery powered magnetic lights. They work perfect for camping. I can select a color and turn on and off to that color or cycle through 7 colors. LINK

Update. I was out camping and realized since I stuck the magnets to the lights I could attach them to the rear hatch. I was pretty happy with the lights before but now that I can stick them on the car whereever that is cool.

 

Unless your dealer performed a proper brake fluid flush/replenish with those new rear brakes, go get your brake fluid replaced. It's pushing 5 years of moisture-sucking deterioration.

Go for 17" wheels. 17's offer the most diverse tire choice and you won't need to resort to heavy 6/8/10-ply tires.

 

thanks It is going into the shop for a complimentary oil change 2nd of 3 from the dealership I bought it from tomorrow. I am going to have them to the spark plugs and I am thinking brake or CVT fluid. Not sure which would be best at this time time/ mileage.

A picture of the bumper cover and trailer hitch installed. I was really surprise that it had the rubber floor mats and back seat covers but not the bumper cover. This one from Amazon looks great fits well and much cheaper. (covers the scratches that were already in the bumper from previous owner) The hitch is Curt. I already have 1 and 1/4" cargo carrier, bike rack, and drawbars for my small utility trailer. So I went with the size that fits most all my other stuff. It does not hang out to low or far.

Are these LEDs the ones where you tap the center (no visible switch) to turn on and step through the colors, but you have to touch and hold a few seconds to turn off? That's how mine are and I have to remember not to just tap them when I want to turn them off. I like them.

 

yes @BillLin that is what they are. I am glad I can I can put them on say yellow and then when I turn them off they will come back on yellow.

 

Today is the 1 year anniversary of my Subaru purchase. I got an email from the Salesperson (who knew nothing about the car) I bought it at an Audi dealership as a used car. I really really like this car. Just wrestle with keeping it nice vs having something I can take offroad. Although, I am still paying for so no wild changes.

 

I took my Subaru to a guy from DD website and he set up my DD elite series fog lights back light the way I wanted.

Too bad they aren't delivered to Germany. They are much cheaper than the LEDs from Diode Dynamics.

I "clicked" over 100,000 miles on my Subaru this past weekend.

 

Already up to 102,000. I am racking up some miles these days.

 

So grateful for my decision to upgrade to husky floor mats with the back to back snows a few weeks ago. My driver mat was white with the salt. I scrubbed with a paper towel in the sink and now it is back to black. Still waiting for my own place to install my horns. I hope that goes easily and will be helpful on my interstate runs.

I Installed new plates front and back this weekend since I now live in a state that requires them. I did not go personalized this time around. I am not thrilled with a front tag after 18+ years without one on my cars.

Subaru was the easiest to mount the front plate as well.

 

Performed my first oil/ filter change on my subaru. Installed a Fumoto valve and new cabin air filter and air filter.

I also upgraded the horns on my Subaru!

If you're burning oil, you may want to replace your PCV valve.

 

?? Sorry I am confused. I did not say it was burning oil. It was time for an oil change. 6000 miles since the last overpriced dealership change.

 

Sorry, above it states under Maint. List: One quart of oil 10/22/23, so I just assumed.

I love how an oil drain (Fumoto, EZ brands) valve helps me with my oil changes.
Clear Flood Mode - fill that inverted oil filter with oil before the 'after oil change start.'
