Also, you have to post pictures of the puppy for all of us no-pet-policy-apartment-dwellers who need to live vicariously though others.

 

A little late on the response, but if you are still looking for a barrier, i got this one, and it works great, looks great and installs quickly with no drilling or permeant mounts.

I just installed mine today. I was torn between this one and ordering the OEM one from overseas. I'm glad I listened to you! For half the price I have a great looking barrier that can fold down when needed. It does have a tiny bit of wiggle but the headrests on our XVs don't have the thickest posts. The best part, it came from Italy in 3 days. Less than 24 hours after shipping it was in my hands. Great company!

 

Just spent 2 hours struggling with my old dog barrier trying to get it to fit into my new CrossTrek. After reading this post, I'm throwing the old one out and ordering this one!! Thanks for the post.

 

man, those are a bit steep. any other pet places that may sell them for a bit better?

I had to remove the top bar (the XV isn't that tall) and it grips onto the headrest posts leaving a lot of space for the dog and has so far kept my 100lb Bull Mastiff in check. Its pretty sturdy and easy to remove if you want to fold down both seats.
