Had a problem with some of the mounting harware, install will be delayed until I hear back from Gorilla...

 

That's the identical bullbar I have. Do you have the tow hook eylets too?

 

Yeah I do, but they aren't fitting the way I think they are intended to, and therein lies the issue. There weren't any instructions, but the install looks pretty simple. However, I'm guessing the outside diameter of the smaller 'washer' on the tow hook eyelet is supposed to fit inside the tow hook hole. It doesn't. The inner washer measures about 1.05" and the tow hook hole is about 1.01". If that washer, or inner ring, was 1" or so diameter it would be perfect. I emailed Derek about it.

 

Interesting. If I recall with mine, I put the the washers on the outside. Maybe they changed the size of the holes on '16 than in '14. It was a little while since I put mine on though. Definitely take pictures when you get it on. Haven't seen a Gorilla bullbar on a '16. It should look pretty awesome.

 

Yeah that's what I'm thinking, they may have changed the tow hole diameter. I know the front mounts of the bar fit on the inside of the tow points, so figured the washers go on the outside. It's a good design if the washers fit... There will definitely be pics, would have had the install video done today if not for the washer issue.

Thanks. I think your DK and mine will be twinsies once I get the Gorilla bar and roof rack installed. Funny, when people asked about my car before it came in I'd show them a pic of yours and tell 'em this is what it will look like. :rock:

 

Believe it or not, I wasn't going to go as far as I did. It wasn't until bdreason put the primitive racing 2" lift, wheels, and tire's on his that I caught the modding fever the most. I have got to give a :rock: to bdreason for that!

 

Finally got the Gorilla install video done.

Thanks for sharing this. It looks very sturdy! How much does the bar weigh--I'm guessing 25lbs?

 

I mentioned the weight at beginning of install in video, it's like 44.5 lbs.
