Me? I love the all black wheels. On ALL of my vehicles. (well, the mini van I don't care)

I like these so much that I've kept them for 2 cars. I had a set with snows on them and sold them. I bought another set of the wheels for the yellow car. This new 2016 came with the STi wheels, but those are a real pain to clean. 360 little spots to address every time you wash your car. . . So I sold them. My Konigs are the closest thing I could find to the 2000-2001 RS Imprezas.

I have a long list of wheels I'm looking at... So hard for me to narrow it down. I really want these but they don't come in the correct bolt pattern/offset :thumb_smileyvault-c

Yes! I wish the second set here fit the Crosstrek! I would also have those...

Cool. I'm 61 and I have NEVER purchased a set of wheels. I've never modded a car before. I buy them, sell/trade them and start fresh. But I understand what you say. Some of the web sites have an option to see the wheels on your car. This one doesn't but even the ones that do don't have the YELLOW color option. I just have a problem with the silver color on the car where there is no other silver. Like I mentioned all black is too much. So I like the break up but you may be right. It is a lot of yellow. Thanks for the feedback.
SgtLip,

You have a "young" soul! If you hadn't mentioned your age, I would have thought you were a young college student. The set of wheels I put on my Crosstrek was the first new set of wheels I have ever bought; most of the time, I look for used OEM wheels. With that said, I did use photoshop to "shop" around and see what the wheels I were interested in would look like with the color of my car. I highly recommend you doing the same before dropping $1000+ on wheels. I don't know how much the Lexanis are, but they do not look cheap. Also, I think it is fine if you stick with 17" size rims. Any larger and you will begin to loose ride quality. As for the three sets of wheels you posted, I think I #2 fits the look better. The other two sets seems like it will out shine the car. Though, IMO, I would recommend bronze wheels if you don't like silver or black.

Just a suggestion:

Thanks for the input. Yesterday just sitting around I tried that. I don't have Photoshop so I took a picture and put it in PowerPoint. It isn't beautiful but I sort of like it.

Now I have to figure out how to paint that silver portion YELLOW!!!

As for your Bronze suggestion. I was working in Dubai back in 2010-12 and ran across this Mercedes. I loved the look and have thought about the bronze as well for the YELLOW Subaru, YELLOW Subaru.

Based on your power point photos, I sense a "plasti-dip" project in the works here. Personally, I have never worked with plasti-dip, but I have seen a lot of videos of other people doing wheel, badge, other automotive parts projects with this stuff. Seems easy to work with. Just make sure to clean and prep well before application.

I have seen a photo of the stock wheels with the silver portions in blue on a black XV. It wasn't plastidip though. It was way too glossy to be plasti dip. Point is it can be done. Also it looked great. I would be figuring out how to do mine in orange to match my TOP if I wasn't planning on getting a set of methods.

I was looking into that last night. I must have looked at 20 YouTube videos last night. Not convinced that is the best way to go. Everything I have seen and heard says it would need to be done every year as that is about the length of time it lasts. So with that I'm thinking of painting it for more of a permanent basis. Not sure where to begin with that. I'm thinking Paint & Body shop but will have to ask around.

Quick question, you posted that picture of a wheel with the single YELLOW ring around the edge yesterday. Can you PM me a link to that wheel. I think I sort of like that. Want to look into it a little further. Thanks.

You could always paint them Orange and have them as a back-up or swap them out every now and then for a change.

I believe there is a clear coat on them and I'm not sure what would be required to prep the silver portion to paint it YELLOW. It is a LOT of work covering everything up just to Plasti-Dip that small portion of the wheel without getting the YELLOW on the rest of it. I also saw where it doesn't last but about a year so I'm thinking of finding a way to paint them permanently.

If that is the case with plasti-dip, then painting it with automotive paint may be the way to go. I have had experience with repainting wheels. It's a lot of work. Gotta clean and prep well; be meticulous. And with much patience. I recommend taking off the wheels, cleaning, taping everything, light sand, metal etching primer and a good clear coat. Come to think of it, there is a guy on this forum that sells custom painted Crosstrek wheels. Might be easier to talk to him to see if he can get a set of wheels painted to your liking.

My wheels and several other things on my car are PlastiDipped right now. It's been over a year for several things including the wheels the look just as good as they ever did except the lug nuts. I need to redip those.

I love them! I also almost got the limited edition yellow!
Do them and i wann see after!

I have teal wheels on mine!
Also not a big fan of the all black wheels.

THANKS.

I've decided on the wheels. They are the same size as the OEM but the only problem is I can only find them overseas. Check these out:
