2014 Crosstrek XV Awesome Off Roader

Hello members,
I'am a new member and a proud owner of 2014 XV. All I can say is the car is great. I live in Colombia and I use the car visit my mother in law who has a farm that need a true 4x4 to access it. This vehicle has far exceeded my expectation. Getting in the farm involves ascending and descending big high at steep inclines and not to mention very rocky terrain. the 8.7 inch of ground clearance a big plus. This vehicle outperforms some serious 4x4's I've encountering on the road. Also the suspension is great. The CVT is the way to go in this car. More than enough power with the car loaded up. Also very fuel efficient. IMO a perfect balance. If you want to go fast buy a WRX.
I had a 1980 Subaru in white when I was 16 I used to deliver pizza and remember two things, couldn't kill it and had the best a/c. Bought it for 350 dollars back in the late 80's. Sold to my cousin and he used it for pizza delivery too for two years and never gave him a problem either.
I'm impressed all over again with Subaru. Great cars.

Trust me if you seen the road I had to tackle you'd be amazed how truly capable the XV really is. Makes it look easy. Some Toyota Pado's here have a hard time climbing the rocky hills here in Colombia without locking diffs. The XV doesn't have locking diffs but doesn't need them with such a good AWD system. Took on some dirt road today and I was ripping it up around turns at 50 or 60 klms/ph and it just stuck to the turns like glue and absorbs all bumps no problem. I really don't feel the car is underpowered you just gotta know how to drive it to squeeze all the performance. If the XV had the WRX power train it would really something awesome IMHO.
