The plastic trim around the wheel arches and lower front and rear looks kind of glossy. If I put wax or polish on the paint is it any problems with stain marks on the platic trim? Usually when the plastic has a matte structure the wax leaves ugly stains that is hard to remove. On the XV, can I just put wax on the whole car including the plastic trim?

Depends on the kind of wax you're using. I usually use a lazy-man liquid wax like Meguiars, which doesn't stain the plastic trim.

I have used recently Autoglym super resin polish which is liquid and white/yellowish and can leave stains on plastic, I also like to use Sonax liquid hard wax which is more transparent. I guess I can just try on a small area and see how it turns out. I just thought that somebody probably tried putting wax on the plastic trim.

Are you supposed to put the ceramic coating on top of a layer of wax/polish or directly on clean paint?
