Whenever I turn the steering into the 'stops', I back off slightly. This keeps the suspension from rubbing against the 'stops'. Not sure where the 'stop' is, but maybe somebody could inspect it?

 

Yea, it occurs when its when its not even pinned at the stop yet, more like at the end of the turn, thx tho!

 

Probably the CV joint. Not an uncommon issue on any vehicle that has CV Jointed axles.

Suspension issues typically happen when you hit a bump and you would hear it with normal driving.

Wheel bearings you would hear with normal driving or going around a turn.

that being said, having a good look with a flashlight is never a bad thing. See if there is an oozing from bushings. If the CV boot is torn, rust near any suspension part. Sway bar links are also a possible culprit. Step one is just get down there and look. Post pictures here of anything you are not sure about. Be sure to have a good look at all the steering linkage too. These can also wear over time.

My initial thought was the CV joints, didn't think about sway bar links. No noise when driving so that threw me off. I am planning on digging around underneath this weekend, but you've given me food for thought. Thx!

 

CV joints don’t handle power application well when turned at maximum angle — like when you start moving with the steering wheel fully locked to one side.

 

I havent tried starting that way now that you mention it, might be something to look at. But it seems to be only when stopping/braking to the left, like its unloading the suspension on the left. The nose is rolling to the right.
