My Crosstrek is less than three years old, but recently the touch sensor lines have appeared on my radio/nav display screen. The squiggly touch sensor lines now appear across the entire screen at all times. They appear especially dark when sunlight is hitting the screen, but they are always there. When sunlight hits the screen, I can't clearly see what is displayed on the screen, due to the dark squiggly lines being so prominent.
I have Googled this problem and found it has been reported several times from Outback owners, but there are no other threads mentioning this specific problem in this forum that I could find. Is anyone else seeing these lines on their display now that did not see them when their vehicle was new?
I took the car in to the local dealership where I have all the maintenance done. They agreed to replace the radio/display under warranty. I am anticipating that the problem might happen again with the new unit, at which time it will no longer be under warranty, and I will be stuck with it for ten+ years.
