I'm looking at purchasing a 2015 Subaru Crosstrek in the very near future and I was hoping you could chyme in about common issues that you had with your 2015 model.
My coworker has a 2013 Crosstrek Sport and he had to deal with a fair share of (what I consider) unnecessary repairs, his vehicle has ~55,000 miles (mostly highway) and he had issues with his engine (luckily covered by the recall), had to replace his front axle and rear wheel bearing at around 50,000 miles. The latter repairs cost him nearly $800 CAD. I'm no mechanic but to me it seems a bit too soon to have those kind of issues. We had a 97 CRV and it went to 180,000 miles without any issues.
According to Consumer Reports and CarComplaints it seems that the 2015 model has the fewest amount of issues so I was hoping to get the opinions of real owners about this.
If you own a 2015 Crosstrek, what kind of issues have you had to deal with? And do you think it's worth getting the 2014 model (apparently still has issues with the axles and bearings) for a little cheaper/fewer miles.
