Those of you with Limited’s, do you think SRH makes a difference? Do you see a benefit? Do they really work?

What will it cost if you go around a corner in the dark and there’s a deer standing in the road that you didn’t see? That might not just cost you money...
Oh Yeah

All the more reason to turn them off when not needed. I only turn them off in daylight:

1. While it’s not light enough out yet to turn them off just for added safety

2. During the day when it’s raining (required by law to be on...DRL do not count since they’re not headlights)
That’s fair and in accordance with laws. For the most part I’ve noticed the DRL feature is pretty good at turning them off when not needed/required. With a few exceptions like parking structures.
I'm wondering if mine are working as they should? The passenger side seems well illuminated at night for the road verges and into the turns but the driver's side doesn't seem to have a perceivable difference.

It should be obvious. In the dark after turning left then straightening out, you should be able to see the two beams are split apart and watch the left one move back to straight ahead in small jump movements.

Thanks @05Moose . The LH side is the passenger side for me and I do notice that side is good. The RH Driver's side doesn't behave the same way and is always shorter than the LH beam when both driving straight and into turns. When turning right, I find illumination is quite poor. Think I'll have the dealership check it at the next service. Cheers 🐨

The amount of headlight movement being less when turning towards the driver's side may well be intentional to reduce the chances of blinding drivers in the oncoming lane.

Supposed that may be the case, still, it would be nice to see what lays lurking, ready to ambush from the grassy verges. 🦘🦘🦘🦘🦘🦉
Mine will point in either direction and light up the road I’m turning onto from a stop sign. If you’re at a stop then accelerate while turning sharp, it should be lighting up exactly where you’re turning to.

In some very seldom instances they help. I would never pay for them and I wouldn’t miss them if they were gone.
...I have had the exact same thought...and what will it cost once out of warranty...?
My lens broke by stone New Headlight $420 + tax, install $125 +tax
trying to turn my SRH on, for some reason the warning light won,t turn OFF on the DASH. Always says SRH OFF. How do I fix this??

That’s in US $$$. Here in Canada that will be at least double that amount.
Well, I like my limited steering responsive LED head lights. Especially during any off-road driving at night. The light output is excellent and it’s just icing on the cake with the auto high/low beam. The LED housing appears to be mounted on a Gimble just behind the lens. It swings side to side as well as up and down for the auto leveling feature.

This is right out of the manual;
This is from the 2021 Crosstrek/XV manual 3-76:

The LED headlights produce more light than conventional halogen headlights. When the vehicle is carrying a heavy load and the headlight beams are angled upwards, the driver of an oncoming vehicle may experience glare. To prevent this, the automatic headlight beam leveler adusts the headlights to the optimum height automatically depending on the load the vehicle is carrying.

I use mine at night always. I replaced the halogen H11s with Diode Dynamics LEDs. Here is a video of a deer coming from the left at night.
Can you share a link on how to change the bulbs? I am having a heck of a time and fearful of damaging the headlights. Thanks

Not certain but I believe the only way is to replace the entire headlight unit. I'm curious why they need replacing as they are supposed to be good for something like 50K hours.

This is almost certainly correct. A coworker has LED on their 2015 Corolla and one went out, entire unit has to be replaced. The high beams are halogen though.
The LED's can last an extremely long time, I would say any failure is in the circuit. If I had to pay over $500 for a new assembly, you can be damn sure I am going to tear into the circuit first, as long as it isn't potted.
