Wondering if anyone has done mods to their shifter? Whether it’s a full on short throw kit or just bushing upgrade. I’ve seen Cobb might make one but was wondering if anyone has had good luck with anything.

The Boomba short throw for the 2015+ WRX is great. I had it on my Legacy with the 6MT. It's weighted, so it has that solid feel that a heavy shift knob gives you.

The solid shift bushing is the best bang for your buck. It drastically improves feel and costs around $25 depending on where you get it from.

Late to the conversation . . . .

I put a Kartboy in mine. It is weighted but still feels a little clunky.

Kit came with replacement bushing, and shifter block. Here are the shift arms (old and new)

The hard part was punching out the roll pin. I ended up using a air-powered palm nailer since it was a little too tight to swing a hammer.

Replacing the bushing alone got rid of the mushy feeling in the shifter. The shifter black tightened up the left-right slop.
