How long is that for? Seems awfully high pricing?? The car should come with Safety Plus free for 3 years then you add Security Plus, which adds the remote door opening / locks, remote start and other extras, for about $75 for the 3 years. It's higher after that so surely the $389 is for an extended period?

 

The remote start and remote temp settings is one of my favourite features on the newer subaru‘s if we buy out our lease I will definitely buy the extended Starlink services again.

 

Basic Starlink is free for the first three years, When I bought mine a couple years ago, they gave me the "Plus" option of r$75 for 3 years. I think it was some kind of special going on then.

Yeah I just paid the $75 for 3 years 2 days ago when I got my new Sport

 

What trim level is the vehicle? I received a free three (3) year subscription to both these services when I purchased my 2021 Sport. Looks like the dealer is trying to recover the monies lost by giving you "VIP" pricing.

 

The Starlink cost me only $75 for three years at my chosen dealer in N California. And even that came as a surprise add on after I signed all the pile of lease papers that kept me there until 10 pm.
Am not yet familiar with the Security plus plan. Sounds like something you don’t need.

 

Your new Subaru came with a complimentary 3-year subscription to STARLINK Safety Plus. What you paid $75 for was a 3-year subscription to STARLINK Security Plus. After three years you have to pay for both Safety Plus and Security Plus.

 

Yes, I learned that and the lease is for three years when I will be 85 and will then decide if I even need a car or can call a Tesla robot car to take me on errands and not have to pay for insurance and gas or electricity to charge an electric car! Cars are getting way too expensive.
