We recently replaced our 2022 Crosstrek 54K OEM Geolanders with 4 BFG Advantage Control AS tires from Costco 3 weeks ago. One OEM tire had a nail and was determined to be unrepairable. Almost immeditely we noticed a "whoop whoop" noise especially cruising above 30-35 mph. Costco said they are limited to a check over and re-balancing (appointment is tomorrow). The sound is similar to a sound that might be heard with uneven tire wear.
Two questions:
1) Might a wheel alignment be needed? The car doesn't pull and the alignment seems to be ok while driving.
2) Could this sound be related to the type of tire (and tread) we now have?
Thank you for your time!
