I see the reflectors low on the back of the CrossTrek, but there are no working rear fog lights. Is it possible to install rear fog lights? The front lights are for visibility, the rear lights are for being visible. I want to see AND be seen.
I tried a search of the forums, but I got pages of Poll postings, so sorry if this topic has already been discussed.

There are no after market fog lights for the 2018+ Crosstrek. You would need to remove the rear reflectors and cut a hole in them to mount a light. Our member stupidchicken03 did just that useing white lights to aid in reverse. Pre 2018 Crosstrek had a spot where you could easily install a light by removing a cover. 2018+ is a DIY.

Pics of what it looks like before and after installation ?

I hope one day someone will come up with a LED version to fit this reflector,I installed on my MY15, it never hurts to have that Lower reflector turned into a Brake/Fog light, certainly got drivers attention in Poor Road Conditions :2cents:

It looks exactly the same when not lit. Haven't made my wiring harness yet so it's off the car. The right side (like oem) had to be drilled to the entire reflector doesn't light up. Someone else drilled a hole in their oem one where the socket protrusion is in the back and shows how it lights up.

those rear reflectors actually look lit at night. great safety feature as is as long as you don't do something really stupid like blacking them out.

Thanks!

So I don't know if these is legal. I've made the reflector a running/brake/turn signal lights. But I haven't been pulled over yet.

As for the reflector housing. I've dremeled two holes for the light bulb holder. The bottom half is gonna be the running/brake light. The upper half is the running/ turn signal light.

I have to use a PVC pipe from home depot(the Grey plastic) as an extension for the light bulb. I've use JB weld to have the extension fixed in. But sockets are still removable for bulb replacements.

So I have two wiring diy harness going down from the rear lamp assy to the reflector housing. It's just 3 wire for each harness. One for power, one for ground and one for signal.

I center tapped it to the existing wires in the rear housing. Now for the bumper, if you look closely, I've also dremeled part of the bumper to accommodate the turn signal extension. When dremelling, do it slowly and test fit always to have a snug fit.

I don't know how to post video in here cause this is my first post. But you guys can message me for extra clarification.

Next project is installing a lift gate light cause the oem sucks.
Extended running light (crab claws). The red plastic on the reversing light housing is just for show. Trying to figure out how to jam a led strip, making it weatherproof and can still be open for strip replacements.

And a wrc styled wing installation
