2023 While I was trying to tow the Ford Focus passenger car that was stuck in the mud with my Subaru XV vehicle, the rear bumper connection iron broke completely and smashed the rear bumper. The authorized service said that I was using the vehicle for other purposes and that it could not be used to rescue a sinking vehicle. I saw that the place where the tow bar was connected was connected to the intermediate connection connected to the chassis by spot welding. It does not have a strength that will come to a lot of difficulty, my mistake was that I tried to pull it by hitting it without taking the gap of the rope.

I wouldn’t worry too much about the bumper reinforcement; it's a relatively cheap part designed to break or bend to protect the rest of the body. The parts still attached to the car essentially function as "crash cans," designed to collapse in the event of a rear-end collision.
The 7-8 weld spots can hold 3-4 metric tons of pull, which is more than enough for towing. In your case, you probably exceeded that at the peak of the pull.

I remember a similar discussion on a Jeep Wrangler forum, where many members had installed heavy steel bumpers on their rigs. While these bumpers look tough, they substantially increase the weight of the vehicle. More importantly, steel tends to transfer the energy of an impact directly to the frame. In contrast, the OEM plastic bumper had 'crash cans' designed to absorb small to medium impact energy, helping to protect the frame.
