My crosstrek havent change any pad after 70k kms, even though due to vehicle stability control, it may wear your rear pad first if your driving pattern aggressive enough to keep triggering the vsc
My driving is far from aggressive, Subaru engineer confirmed that gradually slowing and light pressure will result in appling rear brakes prior to front brakes. Not sure I can change 60+ years of driving to compensate.

I dont think the driving style is the main cause of premature failing of rear brake pad, but perhaps rust and dried lube cause it. So far most car have more often rear caliper sticking issue compared than the front ones, and the gradual braking may excerbate the issue by not forcing the piston move far enough.
