Wasn't sure where to put this. Not really a new member (been here since 2014 and read the forums daily, but this is my first post). Doesn't fully belong in the wheel and tire section, though looking for info. So, figured this forum section is as good as any. My wife has had her 2024 Premium Offshore blue for a couple weeks now. Traded her 2013 (130K miles) in on the 24 on 6 May. Totally different car and far more refined than either her 2013 or my 2015. Lots to like, but also lots that I am not crazy about ... but the latter is probably because I am not a fan of all the electronics/tech they are throwing into cars nowadays. This is our 8th Subaru. Have been buying from the same Subaru dealer since the 1990s and normally just call them to do a special order. This time, decided to go with one that was inbound, even if it wasn't outfitted with things I might have ordered, as I wanted to become familiar with it well before winter sets in here in northwest PA. And, that gives me a chance to find things I will need, due to changes in the Crosstrek that occurred between 2013 and 2024. Biggest will be finding new rims for winter tires that will fit the 24 (with the same offset and the changed lug pattern, which is now 5x114.3 instead of the 5x100). From what I have read so far, it looks like either 17" steel or alloy wheels from the 2015 - 2019 Legacy might work ... but still researching this and was kind of hoping someone may be in the same boat and can confirm this or point me in another direction. I certainly don't want to spend an arm and a leg for winter rims and I want to keep with OEM specs. One thing that was great about her old 2013 and my 2015 is that we were/are still using 16" Subaru steel wheels that date back to our old 2004 and 2007 Foresters. Alas, that will no longer work with her new 24!
