Yeah, I don't use Aha (I get everything I want through Android Auto) and ours has updated via Wi-Fi. Aha also has a pretty low rating on the Google Play Store but others have reported being able to update the firmware via Aha if they don't have Wi-Fi.

What version did you get?

This is from Page 70 of the Starlink Manual:

The system software may also be updated by the customer
via a Wi-Fi device*2 or using the Aha application on your
smartphone (depending on your smartphone communication
and transfer speed).

UPDATE DOWNLOAD
1. Connect to a Wi-Fi network (→P.68), or start the Aha
application on your smartphone (→P.104).
2. Display the general settings screen. (→P.62)
3. Select (Check for Updates).
●●If (Automatically
Check for Updates) is on at the general settings
screen, an update check will be performed
automatically before proceeding to the next step.
●●If (Automatically
Download Updates) is on at the general settings
screen, the software update will be downloaded
automatically before proceeding to “UPDATE
INSTALLATION”.
4. Select (Download Now) to begin the
download (if an update is available).
●● (Later): Select to stop the update process.
●●The download status progress is displayed in the
upper right of the screen.

Hello folks,

thank you very much for your support. I will try this tomorrow. Although I am not very optimistic it will work here in Germany. According to my friendly car mechanic craftsman this update was not available in Germany yet. I have the HK unit with oem navigation.

Thanks again and have a good time and stay healthy.

Best regards

Thomas

If you have navigation, you can also update the firmware via a maps download. At least here in North America, and I would be surprised if they don't have the same option in Europe. Your dealer or local Subaru office should be able to advise with that.

Hello,

today I have tried the over the air update...and it worked! These are very good news for the German Subaru owners. Even the radio volume is remarkably increased now. The update is working so far.

Thank you very much for your support and stay healthy.

Best regards

Hello guys,
sorry for my late response. But here is the firmware information:
Software version:Rel_A1.19.12.20
Navi database version: Europe_966_5933_7334

What is a fantastic change: The "increased volume" update means they have completely removed the volume limitation. So I guess even with the better serial onboard speakers you should have a much fuller and more powerful sound now. There is definitely no need for a separate amplifier. Just add an underseat subwoofer and set the bass level of the radio to a lower volume. This should be enough for most cases, even better with the Rockford Fosgate upgrade.

Best regards and stay healthy.
