this is my first post — am I crazy lol — I have an 2020 Outback XT — I am not crazy about the turbo — I seriously am thinking about downsizing to a 2021 Limited Crosstrek — my kids are basically grown now — I like Outback but it’s too much for what I need on a daily basis - has anyone else made this leap?? I test drove the 2021 Crosstrek and like the drive it’s not as a cushion of a ride as the Outback but I like the sporty feel of the Crosstrek

I had a loaner Outback from the dealer and there wasn't anything about it I liked better than the Crosstrek, which is definitely more nimble. And if you're looking at the new 2.5L then power won't be an issue.

In the UK I have a highly modified 335bhp JDM Subaru Legacy wagon... having come to Canada we have acquired a Crosstrek Outdoor... Completely different, but I love it... horses for courses as they say

My local dealer just got in a 2021 OB Onyx XT in pearl white, and they have a 2020 OB Limited in blue with a black interior. I like the pearl white Crosstrek Limited but I worry that the seats are too small for me. I'm at a point in my life where I don't want to make another poor car decision. It's just too costly! I really like the looks of the Crosstrek and the center console doesn't hit my right knee while driving like the OB does. But the OB has adjustable lumbar and the seat bottoms can be tilted.

I guess the other thing is that the 2021 OB Onyx XT costs $6500 more than the Crosstrek Limited. On the other hand, it appears that the HU in the Crosstrek is much more stable than the 11.6 HU in the Outback. I don't understand why Subaru, with all their talk about safety, forces their OB owners towards distracted driving trying to use an 11.6" touchscreen to control so many features of the car!?

If you like the OB seats... can you get one from a wrecked one and put it in the crosstrek?
Many seats are able to fit different Subaru vehicles.
I have 2008 Impreza STi seats in my 2004 JDM Legacy wagon at home

Worth a check to see what might fit...

Sorry i think i got you mixed up with another poster who was concerned about his size in the crosstrek seats... :D

The alternative is maybe lose some weight?
Dr Jason Fung a kidney specialist taking about intermittent fasting...
Cut out breakfast and snacking. Restrict carbohyrates if you can and your health will improve dramatically and weight (particularly for men) will drop noticeably...
I dropped from 220lbs to about 200lbs over 6 months and am still there 2 years later...
It is amazing when your body learns to burn body fat again... you find you can go all day without feeling hungry!

I had a 2014 Outback Limited before my 2021 Crosstrek, and also drove a 2020 Outback Touring XT as a loaner while the CVT was getting replaced. I really liked the Outback, but something about the Crosstrek is what sold me on it. The way it drives, the looks and it feels like the perfect size for me (it's just myself and my dog most of the time lol). It's also a base, and it has everything I personally needed, but the Sport is very nice. I almost went with that, but personally I don't regret the downsize one bit.

My night vision is getting worse, so LED headlights are a must for me, along with a power driver's seat. I don't mind leather because we have a rat terrier that likes to travel with us and leather seats are easier to keep free of dog hair.
