Making another trip to the dealership this weekend. Definitely going with the accessory sport grill for my Limited. I think that would look good on both the white pearl and Horizon blue pearl.

Has anyone gone with the accessory grill for either of these two colors and has some pictures they can share?

Narrowed my color selection to Horizon Blue Pearl, Magnetite Gray Metallic, or Crystal White Pearl.

Anyone own a 2021 with either of these that can provide feedback on color selection?

Is the pearl not as shiny as the metallics?
I have a Crystal White Pearl and it is shiny but not as shiny as a metallic depending on light source. I think you can't go wrong with any of the 3 colors -- the gray may be easier to keep clean (depending on where you live). Here in Florida it is easy to keep clean. I recommend you choose the color you like -- everyone has an opinion -- what may be appealing to you may not be appealing to others; some people who have pink cars, right? My 2020 BRZ ts I have is a different white than the 2013 BRZ Limited I had -- I actually preferred the white satin pearl of the 2013.

That's what I'm really trying to figure at this point the difference between pearl and metallic.

I had the impression that the white pearl would always be shinier than one of the metallic colors.

Why don’t you just look at the two side by side in person? Would save you a lot of forum time....

I had looked at the Gray as well as black in the 2020 when I was shopping, Dealer had some 2019's left, but one stuck out, the white pearl that I bought. It was the mileage and pricing that sold me as I really wanted black. That being said, at times I wished I chose something else. When the car is clean, it is beautiful. However, I find that a few days after a wash, I see lines of dirt that streak down the sides (top to bottom), that appear at door handles and "puddle points" along the roof rack tracking. I do notice a similar issue on the wifes dark grey '17 CRV, but with the white subaru, it really stands out. Then again, I went with it not because of color, but the cost.

I have a crystal white / black trim 2021 CrossTrek Limited. It's my 5th CrossTrek. The Venetian Red is so-so. Black Metallic is nice. This 2021 when washed, clay barred and then using Chemical Guys "hydro" products including hydro charge and hydro ceramic wax just looks beautiful in the sunlight. I posted pics in the exterior forum.

I just got a 2021 in the Magnetite Gray.... it’s ok. I dont think it’s metallic enough What I really wanted was that “yellow” that’s offered in the sport , but you can’t get leather or larger wheels in the sport. By the way, the two-tone leather looks good with the grey. Personally, I think white is awful... no pizazz at all. If we hadn’t a red forester (2020) I might have gone with the red. Frankly I think the Crosstrek color selections are pretty bad.

Why would you need to clay a 2021? Can’t be that “rough” already?

The Plasma Yellow Pearl is available on all trim levels.

The dark grey does look classy but it was the one 'colour' other than black I did not want owing to the lower visibility/higher collision rate, paintwork maintenance/blemish issues, no contrast with the interior and being a heat trap even on a mildly warm and sunny day. Dearly Beloved didn't want white because it was an old people's/'safe' colour. I see a few white, and many grey and silver ones on the road. The colour ones do stand out from the crowd. The white pearl has a richness that shines in certain lights I really liked. We ended up with the dark blue because our buy off the lot options were limited to that (1) or DGM (6).
The contrast with interior issue was what’s made me get the 2 tone interior leather.

Really like that color. Definitely distinctive.

Curious how your liking it so far?
We love it! Couldn't be happier so far. We were initially disappointed that the blue was changed from 2020's Quartz Blue Pearl to 2021's Horizon Blue Pearl (lighter than last year's blue), but it has grown on us and it works well with the dark plastic cladding and tinted windows (tinted the front to match the rears).
