Hi,

I've been driving my XV for more than two months now. I love it.
Took the orange one, 5MT.

I had a 2004 Impreza in the past, and after two years of complete lack of pleasure (I replaced my impreza with a Kia Rondo, what a mistake!), I feel home again :)
I can't wait for the first snow storm!

The only thing I'm missing from my old subie is the engine lateral vibration so specific to boxer engines that I can't feel anymore on the XV.
I'm also sad that we don't get start-stop engine in Canada...

Fuel Consumption average is 8.5L/100Km (most of the time I'm on the highway)
Not perfect, but definitely better than my old Impreza.

Welcome, and congratulations, fellow Canuck. I like the way you put it "..., I feel at home again."
Enjoy the car. I have done just over 2000 km so far, and I have averaged 7.4L/100km with about at 50/50 city/hwy distribution. During the break-in period, I have been gentle with the accelerator, so perhaps as I start pushing it a bit more, my fuel economy will deteriorate and get closer to yours.

At the begining I was also very gentle on the accelerator (in order to test the car's consumption), but now I drive it by being totally careless :)

But to be fair, I have to say I often spend more than 10 minutes in high traffic jams during a normal week. It impacts the numbers a lot.

Smallest consumption so far: 6.7/100Km (door to door form work to home)
Highest: I don't know exactly. I've seen the number go as high as 50L/100Km for the first Km, but it doesn't really mean anything. On the other hand, it's not rare that for a small distances (1-2 Km) I consume more than 12L/100Km.

Thanks all!

Mec: I wish we have diesel Subarus in Canada, but unfortunately, it's not the case.
XVFan: Here's a picture I took a week ago (for what it's worth; except for the roof lateral bars, my car is exactly like every other one you'll see at the dealer ;-))
good dog: Pas si rouillé que ça il semble! Merci!
ScoobyXV-L: I already do! Thanks.

Looks great! Should be a great car for Montreal winters and on the roads, I don't know why but Montreal has pot holes everywhere

DeeJay: I loved my 2004 Impreza during winters. I don't see how the XV could disapoint me :)

About pot holes, my guess would be that it's a combination of Quebec's socialism structure/state-owned roads/province's high dept/corruption in the construction industy/lack of leadership from our politicians.
