Always been a Subaru fan but things never aligned for me. This past week I decided to trade in my Tacoma since it was 2wd and jump into a awd vehicle. I love hiking, camping, snowboarding so figure the crosstrek fits the bill the best. Was able to have a pretty much stress free purchase from orange Subaru in Santa Ana, California.
A week after ownership I did some little additions. Limo tent, curt hitch for my 1up bike rack, auto start/stop eliminator, and luckily I found Thule foot pack with I believe evo bars for less than 100. Just had to use some rubber tape on the steel strap but other than that pretty functional.
On the plate next will be methods and ko2, I have diode dynamic led for the interior coming in. Going to order some ditch lights and a snowboard mount and some mud flaps. Long term mods will be a prisnu and rtt and a spare tire mount. Super excited that everything i wanted on my Tacoma is available on the Subaru.

haha forgot I left some important details. Got the limited with the 2.5, so automatic only. I was debating getting the sport for the dual x-mode..... but for me having led headlights is important and not having a good way to upgrade without doing retrofit turned me off from the sport model. Overall, I love the Subaru compared to my tacoma. It feels quick and nimble. I love the handling of the Subaru, this is my first and vehicle and will not be my last. It sticks to the ground when making turns. Overall I'm completely satisfied downsizing. Can't wait to turn this into a overloading vehicle.

Congrats and welcome to the club...craze...addiction; well..I won't spoil it for you.

Just be careful...the handling and "sticks to the ground..." thing (not to mention AWD traction advantage) has almost got me in trouble a few times. Got a tad over confident and forgot that physics are still at play!

It’s a 1up quick rack. Out of all the research I did it came highly rated and I absolutely love it. I’m able to get my mountain bike loaded in less than a minute easily lol. It’s USA made and the quality is second to none. I been leaving it in my apartment and putting it on when I ride, it doesn’t take much effort to put it on the hitch.

IMHO due to their extremely unique design the wheels will be either loved or hated.

Yup! I’m actually a fan of the sport wheels a lot more lol

Looks like a great vehicle to head up the mountain with a snowboard and mountain bike while also saving some money on gas!

I remember my high school art teacher lecturing us that there was no black and no white. It depended on what was around the object and whether the light was being absorbed or reflected...

My comment was not meant to be thought provoking, but I sort of remember one of my art teachers talking about the differences between pigment and light. Black pigment is the presence of all color pigment (Blue, Red and Yellow) and white pigment is the absence of any color pigment. It's the opposite for the light spectrum. I am reaching way back, so I could be wrong.
