Engine Air Filter replacement

I used k&n air filter before, oil is never a problem, but the reason i give it up is the fine dust issue. sometimes when you put the filter against strong light, you can find some area like having a hole, and unfortunately I find my engine oil getting dirty faster with k&n air filter, so since then I never use k&n again and rely on good denso or fram ultra air filter.

I read a post from a fleet mechanic who claimed they never replaced air filters—just blew them out with compressed air—and still had vehicles reaching 300K miles before being retired. That said, it only takes a single teaspoon of fine dust to cause serious engine damage.
As I mentioned before, it really depends on where the car is used. Some areas are relatively clean in terms of dust, while others—especially those with a lot of silica dust—can be much harsher on engines.
oh dont mention on mechanic blow air filter with compressed air, it ruins k&n filter.. it is a big no no to do with k&n air filter
