Doca’s XV: Stamford

Toyed with starting a journal for a while now and because it won’t fit anywhere else, today is the day.

Today is a sad day. At the same time I was having fun with MSPaint

@AstroKats Yeah, I was thinking that. I’ve got a nice stiff, but narrow felt brush that’ll probably work well.

@sas-XV Thanks. I’ve seen a number of products that function in the same manner. Most of them also warn user to immediately remove it from painted surfaces.

Currently looking for a new home in New Brunswick, I’ll actually be doing something about it when we get home.

Anybody know where I can get a nice plate delete? New Brunswick doesn’t have front plates and it’s going to be a delete or an accurate, novelty Gunma plate for the front. Problem is, the plate deletes are boring, stupid or just not me and Stamford.
460CI 7.5L V8 ?
Was it really 7.5L? Yikes! What was the GPM, LOL!
My 2004 Chevy Avalanche had an 8.1L V8. Was a beast and drank gas like one, too. Had it for 15 years, and did the job for me. Very versatile with the midgate. Later I didn't need it anymore and replaced it with my 2018 Crosstrek.

Try etsy. I think the name brands charge too much for what it is.

That was a "mid-size"?

I do not wish anything too politically but, mid-sized then would be considered without large fries and hold the sauce.

Think I’m going to ditch the plate delete option and add an authentic, fake, custom Japanese plate instead.

I still don’t have a solid grasp on their system, but heres what I came up with.
It’s a Gunma plate for a personal vehicle, with what I think is the right classification code (300 series). The “.” omits the leading 0 on this 4 digit plate.

Also, Stamford and Bridget are moving! The Mrs and I just bought a house in New Brunswick. The inspection is today, but I throughly checked it out so, I don’t anticipate any show stoppers.

That will confuse the toll cameras, LOL.

Cardemort still has temporary dealer plates from Florida (it has taken a long time to get a smog check). A while ago I inadvertently took the toll road exit off the freeway and had to go through an automatic toll booth, no U-Turns. It took a while but I eventually got a notice. They probably sent it to the dealer in Florida first. Now I have a huge fine, grrr...

Congrats on the move. I assume Canada, not New Jersey, LOL!

Stop the presses, you broke a law? WTF???

j/k glad you see confirmation that you are human

Actually it kind of makes sense, when the CrossTrek is considered a Sub-Compact. It hardly feels that way to me.

Every day. I'm not drilling holes to install a front license plate. Do as I say, not as I do... ;)

Suction cups?
Suction cups?
Yep, I have been considering the options in case I get a fixit ticket for it. It's not likely as my last one was 20 years ago. Perhaps something that wraps around with rubber bands?

Which part of Canuckistan are you leaving? I've been through New Brunswick a few times. Never stopped to do anything there. Although I have family on the northern coast that I've never met.

I have vague and undefined plans to go to Nova Scotia again this year.

Lol, I hadn't thought about traffic cameras.

Yes, it's to New Brunswick, Canada. About 30 minutes east of Fredericton.

We're currently just south east of Ottawa. A little town called Russell.
I've been to Nova Scotia quite a number of times. The Mrs is from there. A little island called Cape Sable.

In other news; I finally decided to install a USB C mounting plate in my console. The parts arrive tomorrow and now I'll never have to look at a stupid USB wire again.
