This install procedure would apply for Subaru OEM or aftermarket rear spoiler, only difference would be the template-method for marking the holes to mount it (this aftermarket one has hole locating strips, the Subaru OEM one has a template). I suggest at least one beer before drilling holes in your Crosstrek. :icon_lol:

Just doit!

Enjoy!

well done and good job! Altough I haven't listen to the whole video and just skipped to the important pieces - is the spoiler you drilled through plastic or metal? becuase if metal, I'd think to paint it with a primer to prevent corosion..

But thanks for the video and kudos!

If you mean the top of the hatch that is drilled, that is metal body panel. If corrosion is an issue where you live then you might want to paint it. It isn't in AZ and the aftermarket spoiler has sealing gaskets on it to prevent moisture from getting in around each hole. I don't know about the OEM subaru spoiler, but guessing it's the same. The other side of that body panel is inside the car. Guessing when a dealer installs the spoiler they don't paint holes they drill.
