Mine does, But I have a Limited and has Nav.. Not sure if it will do it with out Nav..

I'm pretty sure it does with or without Nav. As long your phone is connected to the car it will match the time.

Yep, the models with Nav will adjust the time automatically, without need for the phone. Models without Nav will sync the time with your phone when it's connected, though in my experience it's sometimes taken a little while ...

No Nav but have XM. Mine auto adjusted last time we had a time change.

Just happened to see it adjust in real time after I was driving for about half an hour.

Yes. It will update automatically. No worries.

2019 XV (no nav) and theres a setting (can't remember if it's in the HU or the dash) that's something along the lines of automatic time sync.

You just have to connect your phone via BT and wait a while.
If you run android auto/carplay all the time you probably wouldn't even notice it as your phone would already be connected via BT.

My wife's '21 Sport does not update the clock automatically, but her is the dash clock, I never checked the HU. She does not have nav.

My 2021 Crosstrek Limited (no nav) has these instructions in my Owner's Manual, Chapter 3: Setting the clock automatically:
1. Turn the ignition switch to “ON”.
2. Press the "HOME" button. (ALL on touch screen)
3. Select “Settings”.
4. Select “Vehicle”.
5. Select “Time/Date”.
6. Select “Auto”.

The units with nav get their time information from the satellites that provide the cars with GPS data ... so as long as the satellites are broadcasting the correct time, the Subarus will, too.

But won't that require every HU to have new firmware that understands the change? I don't think the satellites are tracking the DST rules in every location (e.g. California vs. Arizona). I assume they broadcast UCT and leave the rest up the device receiving it.

My 2019 Premium is supposed to update at the bi-annual time changes coordinated with your phone but I find it doesn't always work and I have to manually set it. Then it will stay synced with the phone.

I have my clock for auto update and the clock was updated to DST in less than a minute after the BT connection between the phone & HU was established.

Mine is set to 'sync to phone' automatically. I happened to have the phone connected (with cable) using Android Auto Sunday morning and was 45 minutes or so into a trip before the time on the display changed. The time on the media display changed right away.
