Crosstrek 2023 bottom cushion

350 Views 12 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Gina N.
Just bought a new Crosstrek Premium but after a month the front seats turned out to be pretty uncomfortable. I mean the bottom cushions. I can not swap them with Impreza whose seats are very much to my liking because apparently the brackets are different. Tried all the car seat pillows from Amazon to no avail. What should I do? Is the bottom cushion replaceable or can be fixed? Would appreciate any advise.

I agree, they’re pretty firm and not the most comfortable.

Doesn’t bother me enough yet to do anything about it, but if it did , I’d go visit an automotive upholstery shop. Any decent sized city should have one.

A Big Thank You for your advice!
I can't imagine the impreza seats are really any different other than the cover. The brackets definitely aren't different between the crosstrek and impreza. Most Subaru stuff is swappable. Here's the listing for a 2023 crosstrek seat mounting rail. So whoever told you that is full of it.

Wow, this is very enlightening! Thank you so much!
You could also replace them with Recaros or Koenigs. I had a Saab 900 Turbo back in the day that I heavily modded (I was a tuner before anybody called us "tuners"). Both brands will most likely have brackets and seats for you. The seats will be fantastic!
I will consider that too. Thank you so much for your advise!
You might consider a sheepskin seat cover (Costco). I installed one for my family member who drives a MY18. They found it quite an improvement.
Thank you for your suggestion, I might consider it too.
I don't have a Crosstrek but have a Forester. I found after driving more than an hour or so I would feel pins and needles type thing. After trying a few things this is the one that worked for me Tsumbay Car Seat Cushion.

Good Luck.

Thank you for your response. The one you suggested is no more available on Amazon which speaks volumes of its usefulness. But there is another one from the same manufacturer. Definitely worth trying. Thank you.

They are only $80, so it's not a large outlay or risk. I run them in our BMW. Beyond the comfort factor, they are wonderful when you get seasonal extremes as we do in the PNW. Good luck.

Thank you, I am from Northern Minnesota so I know exactly what you are talking about 😊
