So the day I bought my Subaru, test drove the car, parked it, did the paper work, and came out to a dent on the door. Took it in Friday, and their dent guy couldn't get it to make it look new, so they sent it to a body shop, and it should be done this Friday. About an hour ago the Subaru app sent me an email saying that my blind side detector light is on and I should contact my dealer. Is this anything I have to be concerned about? Is this normal from doing body work?

Sorry to hear of the dent / scrape issue. I'm sure that ruined your new car excitement. But you're probably going to have to wait and see what's up. Looks like the rear door in the picture. To fix properly, the shop will probably have to blend to the adjacent panels so they may have removed the mirror. Could be that when they disconnected the mirror you then got the alert.
