Just spotted the first display model at the dealership when I went to pick up my Ascent from the service department.

Snapped a few pics as I was rushing home, the wife got this exact colour and model on order.

2024 Crosstrek Onyx in Offshore Blue

It was getting dark so the colours don't look as vibrant as it should. I like the subtle yellow/gold trim around the fogs better than the US Sport trim.

Looks pretty decent actually if you can remove those yellow foglight accents and change the wheel setup
Thanks ... that's a great color!

Unfortunately, it looks like it will only be available on the 2.0 trim levels in the U.S.
Looks Wwwwway better than the Sport SOA trying to push on the US market. It's worth the wait, Mr. Subaru....
Cool! The new design looks pretty good "in the wild" (outside of an auto show or press photos). I like that Offshore Blue Metallic.

I believe the Onyx is akin to a Sport in the US? Interesting that they didn't do all the yellow exterior accents like the US Sport, but did just the fog light trim. I think it looks strange with just that one accent. Like why bother? TBH, the yellow on the US Sport is a turn-off for me, especially on the seats. I don't understand why they went with chrome badging on the rear of the Onyx and US Sport. It's literally in the name, Onyx. The previous Outdoor and US Sport had dark badging... The wheel designs on the 2024 are meh. I prefer the 2021-23 wheel designs.

From the Subaru Canada website...

"For a whole new level of driving fun and eye-catching design, check out the all-new Crosstrek Onyx and Limited trim levels. With a 182-horsepower SUBARU BOXER® engine, dual-function X-MODE®, 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar, and unique styling elements, the Onyx and Limited are the go-to choice for those who like their driving enjoyment with an extra boost."

Sounds pretty good to me!

That said... it's odd how you can still 'Build and Price' a 2023 Crosstrek. Obviously they're not making them anymore. And yes... I know that they are still some for sale... But still.

Yeah, my wife just sold her 1st gen 2013 back to the dealer when they called back in Oct. She'll miss the original. There was 2023 Sport still in the lot but not in a colour she'd prefer, so we pre-ordered this one.

She's not a fan of all the sharp angles of today's auto styling (I think Toyota/Lexus started the trend).

Also now that the Badge of Ownership program is now in Canada, we can't wait to get our VIN to order it. It'll be Subaru no. 5 between the both of us.

Those rims almost look like they are fancier steelies... kinda like the ones I got from the dealer for winter tires. They aren't the traditional 'holed' steelies. If they are the stock rims... not for me.
This is awesome to see, thanks! I ordered this exact combination as well, and was uncertain if the Onyx would have the same design as the Sport. The yellow accented fog lights actually looks pretty good with the colour!

Subaru made this gen look a lot less rugged.
looks like a lexus rav 4
My thoughts exactly. Subaru has been flushing it's coolest designs down the toilet (the new WRX looks like a civic.)
@dcyvr ...thanks for this! Its the exact color and model i also ordered but i think Quebec is still confused on the new blues being offered for the 2024 Onyx Crosstrek. They are calling what i consider the Oasis Blue, Offshore Blue.. :O
Told me dealer, please make sure you get me the right color which is the one you shared above. It looks awesome with the rugged black cladding... :D. Thanks for helping me clarify to my dealer!

For 2024, Onyx is replacing the Sport model. ;)

I was hoping to see Oasis Blue, but it seems exclusive for the JDM market... So Offshore Blue seemed be the next best choice.

Yep! And good riddance lol. I'm not a fan of those weird yellow lines on the Sport. 😂
The Canadian website has been updated for the 2024 Crosstrek.

The depiction of the Offshore Blue Metallic looks different to everything that's in the press.

Also interesting to note in the specifications that the Onyx and Limited trims come with "Falken" tires on 18" alloy rims and not "Yokohama".

Interesting. There isn't any equivalent of our 2018-2023 Sport model then. Save for the weak engine, it was a little gem of a trim due to the fact that a MT was mated with "high-end" options.

Comparing apples to apples, the 2024 Onyx is nearly 2700$ CAD more than the outgoing Outdoor. That's quite a hop in the car's price. Interestingly, the difference in between 23 and 24 limited trimsis only 700$.

The 5x114 is annoying ( I still run 2008 Impreza 16" winter mags on my 2022, out of nostalgia for my previous car) but makes sense if Subaru wants to have as much shared production elements as possible. Does the Impreza also switch to 5x114s?
