This morning I discovered that I accidentally left a map light on overnight for about 11 hours on our 2019 Crosstrek. Fortunately it was an LED bulb and the car started just fine. I hooked up a battery tender and the battery was still 95% charged. It quickly charged up to 100%.

In the process of connecting the battery tender to the battery posts, I noticed that the negative cable clamp is angled up about 40 degrees like it has been bent/damaged. Is this normal? Pic below.

I've done some battery work lately (installed an Odyssey Extreme) and wondered about that too.

It makes it easier to remove the clasp from the negative terminal but not the positive. Not sure what they were thinking there...

I guess they changed it at some point after the 2016 model year. Mine is not like that.
