2023 Crosstrek in Cool Gray Khaki

Hi, I am searching for a 2023 Crosstrek Limited or Sport in Cool Gray Khaki. Are there helpful sites for searching? I’m in NJ and want this particular color. So could travel. Am I crazy to hope I can find it at this point in May?

A tough find at this point...maybe a used Premium. You might try a search on a site like Cars.com a (...a Nationwide search... select unlimited miles from your zip code.) It'll show some hits, but if you then visit the dealership site and check, you'll see the Cars.com listing is unavailable. So...some stale listings.
I just checked two Sports that were supposedly in stock, but the respective dealerships show them no longer in stock.
Good luck...doesn't hurt to try. Also Edmunds is a good place to search.

There are a few CGK listed on Autotrader, some slightly used, some new.

I found a 2020 CGK in Pennsylvania with 23,000 miles. I honestly could not tell it from a new car, and purchased it and drove it home to Florida. They had 2 more. Funny thing. I have the paperwork from the owner who bought the car new, and they only paid about $700 more new than I paid used. It was Certified Preowned, and the dealership put $1900 in to new tires, battery, brakes, rotors, floormats, filters, wiper blades, etc. Its a limited version, and still smells new. I could not find so much as a stone chip on this thing.
Sendell Motors, Greensburg, Pa. is where I got it. Best of luck, its a great color.

I bought my Crosstrek May 8th, 2023. I drove to Pennsylvania to give my current car to my son who was in need of reliable transportation, and was going to fly home to Ft. Lauderdale, and find a nice used Subaru here, but there are not as many Subaru's in Florida. While in Pa, I found a really nice Subaru selection, and love the cool gray color. I could not believe it was used. While inspecting on the lot, I thought it was new. I am a car person, and pretty picky, and the one I bought was pretty impressive.

Try contacting Ramsey Subaru in NJ. I've bought 2 subaru's from there in 11 years and they always seem like they can get anything the customer wants.

I found some on Cars.com and Carmax.com. I think if you type into your search specifics on what you want, you will get sites to go to. I typed in, as an example: 2020 Subaru Crosstrek Limited, and it took me to a few sites that had many cars for sale. You might be able to narrow your area down to within the the site to a 50, 100, 250, 500 etc. mile radius in the search parameters. I would try that first.

Fantastic how that worked out for you! Long drive back and forth to Florida. I checked that dealership and there are no cool gray khaki's there now. I did find one somewhere else in PA last evening. I called this morning and was told that it sold yesterday

It was exactly what I wanted. I will continue my search. I appreciate all the suggestions!

It's going to be a tough search. I decided to buy my Limited back in January when I found out the cutoff for custom orders for 2023 Crosstreks was January 31 (after that my only option would have been to buy from dealer inventory). I had gone on the Subaru web site to build out my car with the desired options and had selected the Cool Gray Khaki, but when I went to actually order the car, I was told that color was no longer available to order. I don't know if they had run out of that color paint at the factory or what, but it couldn't be ordered. So I ended up going with the Ice Silver Metallic instead. FWIW, I love the silver one and am just as happy with it as if I had been able to get my original choice.

Ramsey Subaru in New Jersey is a good suggestion. Their sales manager used to post here and they're huge. Dealers will often trade cars between their inventories to get what a customer wants so that's where I'd start if I was in your situation. I just did a quick search of the dealers around here and they only have 2024 Crosstreks.

Hi MountainJoe... That's interesting what you found out about that color. I've located two 2023 Crosstreks in cool gray khaki that have just a handful of miles on them in the last several days... each one a day after they were sold. Well, the one has a hold on it while the people try to get financing. So it possibly won't go through. I can always hope.

Thanks for looking! I checked Danbury this week and that car is gone. The one in New Hampshire is too far.

I went to Cars.com, and found about a dozen Cool Gray Khaki versions within the first 9 to 10 pages. All are in various parts of the country, but they are out there if you are motivated and have some time to travel on your hands.
