I would stick with the '17. Very reliable and then if you really want a new one, wait for the next gen, most likely '23.
I have a 2016 hyper blue limited Bought it about ylrhe same time as your 2017 and have 29000 miles. I’d be tempted for a 2021 2.5. But i put so many things on my 2016 (new wheels , tires, sound system that It would be hard to part with. If you wait for 2023 3rd gen then you have to deal with new redesign bugs. Lol. It’s always something. But, maybe as someone said before, there won’t be a major design change till 2025 or so The 2.5 in the 2021 has already been in the forester si it should be fine

We waited for the '18 for the new gen and all of the new features, and Android Auto and CarPlay, etc. No regrets!

Hyper blue looks amazing! That’s low mileage for a 2016. I’m sure you’ll get a solid trade in if you want the 2021. The re-designs are all good things, but it makes feel like I’m constantly striving for the next best thing and never can be satisfied.

I need to figure out if The 2021Sport is where I’ll stop the striving due to the fact that it will be new with a 2.5 engine and looks amazing and the sooner the better before my ‘17 gets over 100k on her.Or if I should keep my ‘17for the long haul, and eventually get a newer gen of the crosstrek years down the road, or a 2021, at that point which will be a lot cheaper.
First world problems lol
