Hi everyone!!

I just bought a 2018 Subaru Crosstrek (first time Subaru owner) and I was wondering about the options for adding a powered subwoofer to the factory system, or just stripping it all and getting new speakers plus a powered subwoofer?
Has anyone in the subaru family tried this?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated

As long as it's not a Limited w/Navigation, it's fairly straight forward to add a sub.
I put a powered Pioneer 10" sub in my '19 Premium. It fit great behind the rear seats and doesn't take up too much space in the hatch. The most difficult part of the install is getting behind the dash to wire the sub inputs inline with the front speaker outputs.
You'll want a harness like this for the install, and since it draws less than 30amps you can power it with 12 gauge wire to the battery.

There are also some under-seat subs that have been posted on here, if you don't want to sacrifice your hatch space.

thank you for the link! How would I know if I had the RF setup? There aren’t any audio badges on any of the grilles…but the shouts is definitely full! I enjoy it!
Just ordered my roof rack too It’s a very nice car!

If you have the RF upgrade, there will be an Amp under the front passenger seat.
