I replaced the wipers on my girlfriend's car with a set from Costco. Ever since then, this seems to happen when the windshield is not super wet. The more dry it is, the worse it is. When it is reasonably wet, the arms won't hop. When it is very wet, it won't make a loud noise when it wipes. If I clean the wiper and windshield with Windex and it rains, the issue doesn't happen. It wasn't like this with her stock wipers. I haven't tried another brand yet.

Yes I double checked to make sure I was using the right adapter. I also triple checked. Do these cars hate specific wiper blades? Usually I use the Bosch Icon blades but I went cheap on these because she needed new ones and they were on sale at Costco when we were there.

There have been a few threads about this. OEM wipers seem to be the way to go. Some folks propose windshield treatments but you're not supposed to use anything in case it interferes with Eyesight.

Gotchya, I did a quick search and didn't see anything. Thanks for the heads up. This car doesn't have the Eyesight stuff but I'd rather not have to spray the windshield every time. Are the OEM wipers only available at the dealer or can you get them anywhere like the NGK plugs?

you cheaped out because it wasn't your car, and now you are unhappy. how does she feel about the wipers?
It bothers her as much as it bothers me. I cheaped out on them because it was raining, she needed new ones, we were at Costco AND they were on sale. It wasn't because it wasn't my car. If a nice set of Bosch Icons would fix the problem I'd go order them for her right now. The current ones work, but they are super annoying due to the aforementioned squeak.

If going OEM on these wipers in the right way to go, I'll get some ordered up for her.
