My 2014 Crosstrek Hybrid won't start. All of the lights inside work, and radio is fine. I'm doing everything I'm supposed to be doing.... Key fob batteries are fine, depress brake petal, push ignition button.... The instrument panel lights up, the speedometer/rpm gauges move as they do when you start it up - but the car simply won't start. Has anyone else had this issue? Could it be one of the batteries?? (Hybrid has 2 batteries).

I unlocked the manual gear shift as well (by pressing the hidden reset) and put it in R, N, D and back up to Park just to make sure it was in proper position and not stuck.

Was it the 12v starter battery or auxiliary? We just had the 2 non-hybrid batteries replaced and are having the identical concern you described.
In the other threads I read about loose connections being the issue. changing the 2non-hybrid batteries is a good start, my similar car issues were sorted as soon as I replaced the same batteries.
