I have a 2021 Subaru Crosstrek and woke up today with a completely dead battery - like DEAD. I assumed all lights automatically turn off when you turn the car off. Am I wrong?

I had a base model Crosstrek 2019 modified with some things, among them, fog lights. Does anyone know how they are controlled, or even turned on? How do they work with the other lighting options? I know this is dumb, but there you have it.
