This looks amazing! I'm looking at getting STI wheels for my 2020 crosstrek. I can't figure out if there are two finishes for these wheels, one being high gloss black and another being a flatter more matte "gun metal" or if its just variations in the photos? In this photo it looks like the finish of the wheels is more of a matte flatter finish, is that just the photo and they are actually high gloss black? Thanks!

Wow. I don’t know how I missed this. My wheels are gunmetal because they are the 17” version. I believe black is only available in the 18” version (in Canada anyways). Originally I wanted black, but to be honest the gunmetal has grown on me. They hide dirt much better and any brake dust blends with the paint. My last car had gloss black rims but if you are picky about keeping wheels clean, gloss black is nearly as hard to maintain as white wheels. Gloss black will also show small imperfections more than gunmetal would. I don’t think I’ll be painting these wheels after all. However, if I can get matte black wheels as my next set, I may consider it.
