    Alpine Halo 9” heads unit

It looks really nice! Is this something that would fit on a Premium trim MY 19? Anyone considered this unit for their Crosstrek?

Hmm. I can't really agree with you about its looks. To me it looks jury-rigged, like someone just sticking a Tom Tom onto the dash with velcro.

I'd prefer something that mounts flush.

Wow, I really don’t like the floating screens. It’s like it’s inviting an unfortunate incident and until then, it’s just occupying extra space.

I’ll +1 dwadifar’s comment but it’ll fit in the XV
    Audio mod manual:
    Crutchfield directions:

    18' Subaru Crosstrek "Stamford" - 29 Aug 17 -
    07' VW Rabbit "Bunny"- 4 Jan 07' - 30 Jun 17'
    94' Chev Beretta "Dirty B" - 24 Jun 96' - 4 Jan 07'
    85' Hyundai Stellar "Beast" - Mar 94' - Dec 95'

The Crosstrek takes a double DIN. Sure it will "fit", but you have the space you can get one that sits flush for cheaper (i.e. Sony XAV-AX100)

You'll need a single din install kit, Crutchfield sells them. Don't forget the adapter for the steering wheel controls and probably a sirius/xm module. There is probably an adapter for the back up camera and USB plugs which may be a factory plug. Everything you need to make it work will probably equal half the cost of the head unit.
