Urgent! Wheel Bearing Stuck - Slide hammer pulled apart bearing

Been struggling with removing the rear passenger wheel bearing, just got a slide hammer. After a few dozen pounds on the hammer, the hub came out and the bearing is still stuck.
    Thoughts?? Advice?

use a torch to heat up the metal on the outer part of the bearing. that should make the the metal expand a little bit and you should be able to use the slid hammer and get it out.

Thank you for the fast responses guys. Torch it from the back or from the front?
Should I be hitting the brake plate?

To confirm, torch up the housing assembly all around and then try to beat it out again?

Any advice on how to separate the upper control arm bushing from the housing assembly? Pry it open?

As an update, mission accomplished. Removed the entire wheel housing, busted the ball joint on the lateral link assembly, $125 for a new assembly.. double sledge from behind the housing, took about 10 swings, finally freed the back half of the bearing. 1 hour job ended up taking ~ 12 hrs over the course of 3 days.. but alas, first time for everything.
Looking forward to the drivers idea rear.. said no one ever.
